What is a Canadian ? Comprehensive Ranking System?

The Comprehensive Ranking System or CRS points calculator is a system adopted by the Canadian Government for evaluation, allocation of scores, and offering ranks. It is for the profiles of the candidates in the pool of Federal Express Entry.

Your score under the CRS calculator will be determined by the answers that you have offered in your profile in Express Entry. How CRS Points Calculator Works?

  • Up to 200 points that can be secured for an eligible approved job offer
  • Up to 30 points that can be secured for having studied in Canada
  • Up to 50 points that can be secured for ability in the French language and English language
  • Up to 15 points that can be secured for a family in Canada (one family member of the primary applicant and the accompanying spouse or common-law partner is considered)

What are the How to better your CRS Score?

The selection draws under Express Entry are conducted regularly normally once in 14 days. You can receive 600 additional points towards your Express Entry CRS score if you get a nomination from a Canadian province.

Obtain a job offer Approved by LMIA

You can receive 200 additional points towards your Express Entry CRS score if you get an offer of a job from an employer in Canada. The job offer has to be approved through the Labor Market Impact Assessment process.

Study in Canada

You can receive 200 additional points towards your Express Entry CRS score if you get a recognized Degree or Diploma in Canada.

Including Spouse / Common-Law Partner in the application Partner in the application

You will get additional points for including your Spouse / Common-Law Partner in the application. You can obtain extra points for three factors. 20 points will be offered to you for the language proficiency of your Spouse / Common-Law Partner. 10 points will be offered for work experience in Canada and 10 points for studies in Canada. So, you can get up to 40 extra CRS points.

Canadian Work Experience

If you possess less than 3 years of work experience full-time and are still employed, you can receive up to 150 points toward your score in CRS under Canada PR points calculator.

What score is needed for PNPs under CRS?

The eligibility criteria for every PNP are unique as decided by the respective provinces. A few of the PNPs seek potential candidates in the Express Entry System also. Most of the PNPs have a unique system of calculation of points. A few PNPs can also consider the CRS score of the candidate along with other factors for deciding the ITA for nomination.

However, what about the candidates with low CRS score below 400? Well, such candidates do not need to be disappointed as they can still obtain the permanent residency in Canada.
